Implementation:
The Project is being steered through a Steering Committee which is headed the by the Secretary, Ministry of Finance and includes:
- Secretary, Planning & Development Division;
- Secretary, Ministry of Health;
- Secretary, Ministry of Population Welfare;
- Additional Secretary, Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance;
- Additional Secretary, External Affairs and Internal Policy, Ministry of Finance
- Joint Secretary, Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance;
- Chief Administration, Central Board of Revenue
Besides the Steering Committee a Working Group has also been established to monitor day to day activities of the Project. The composition of the Working Group is as follows:
- Additional Secretary, Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance (Chairman);
- Joint Secretary, Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance;
- Chief, Public Investment Programme, Planning & Development Division;
- Director, Financial Management, Ministry of Population Welfare;
- Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Health;
- Deputy Secretary (BR), Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance
Budget Ceiling Committee
In order to ensure resource availability and provide budget ceilings for FY 2005-06, 2006-07 & 2007-08 to the two pilot ministries of Health and Population Welfare a Budget Ceiling Committee has been formed with the following composition:
- Joint Secretary, Budget Wing, Ministry of Finance;
- Chief, Health, Planning & Development Division;
- Chief, Population Welfare, Planning & Development Division;
- Director, Financial Management, Ministry of Population Welfare;
- Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Health;
