February 2009

   MTBF Launch at MTBF Workshop (Serena Hotel). Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and       Revenue chaired the workshop which was attended by Principal Accounting Officers, Donors and other       senior official of the Government. - (19th February)

   Roll-out of MTBF: Nomiation and training of MTBF core teams in each ministry/division including       installation of the Financial Management Application. - (Starting from the 1st of February)

January 2009

   Cabinet approval of MTBF process and roll-out. The Cabinet in its meeting held on 21st January, 2009       approved the adoption of MTBF across the Federal Government including the issuance of indicative       budget ceilings for the recurrent budget for 2009-10. Federal ministries will prepare their annual current       budget for 2009/10 and forward estimates for 2010/11 and 2011/12 within indicative budget ceilings       provided by Finance Division at the start of the budget preparation process. - (21st January)
   Presentation to Adviser to Prime Minister for Finance and Revenue. - (9th January)
   Finalisation and issuance of Indicative Budget Ceilings for 52 federal ministries (70 Principal       Accounting officers). - (30th January)
   Issuance of MTBF Budget Call Circular, MTBF Guidelines and Indicative Budget Ceilings for the       recurrent budget to all ministries of the federal government. - (30th January)
   Comprehensive planning for the scaling up of the MTBF consultants team. - (1st January)
   Launching of a comprehensively revised MTBF website. - (1st January)
