The Medium Term Budgetary Framework is an approach to budgeting that integrates policy-making, planning and budgeting within a medium-term framework.
The Ministry of Finance is implementing the MTBF to strengthen the annual budget process and make it more responsive to the Government's strategic objectives.
The Government is progressively implementing the MTBF across all ministries, departments and agencies which receive funding through the federal budget.
